After the death of Chow Long, his brothers Chow Biu and Chow Tin moved to Henan in province of Qinghai with some of their best students in 1920 and founded a second branch school. This school was named Shen He Ren Yi Tang. Another three schools were founded in the neighbourhood and were later run by Chow Hip. Further schools were founded in the towns of Foshan, Guanshan, Nanhai and Zhenchu, all in the province of Guangdong, in the year of 1927, which were all run by Chow Hoy.

The eleventh school was founded in Jiujiang in the province of Jiangxi. It was named Jiujiang Ying Yong Tang and lead by the students Zhu Hua, Li Niu, Xu Suliang and Chen Guizi. To disseminate the Chow Gar System even further, Chow Biu moved north to a place not far from the Xi-Jiang river in 1929. Eight schools were founded in the area within 2 years. Inter alia in Zhaoqing, Xiamen, Ducheng and Nangang. These schools were run by Chow Tin.

Altogether 3 schools were established in the province of Dan Wuzhou in 1931. In 1936 a group of well-chosen students travelled to Hong Kong, guided by Chow Biu, where they showed their skills for the first time in a performance outside China, in Kowloon. At this performance of the Chow Gar Kuen Kung-Fu, it was the group who won the favour of the audience and stole the show from the other Kung-Fu schools, who participated in this presentation as well. After the performance, another school was opened up in Kowloon, which was named Chow Ren Yi Tang in the beginning and later renamed Zhong Wai Chow Ren Yi Tang, which means as much as “School of the Chow family outside China”. Mai Liang was made the head of this school. In 1949 the whole Chow family moved from China to Hong Kong. At this time the Chow Gar Kuen experienced some extensive changements through the passing of the new hand and weapon-forms. Chow Biu died in 1961 after a short disease.
